RELIGIOLUS - Seeing is believing

Religiolus - Seeing is believing (Religulous) is a 2008 film directed by Larry Charles, written, produced and starring Bill Maher.

The film is a satirical documentary as they took on the religion and its organized forms, in particular, the three Abrahamic religions, beginning with the title, the union of the words religion (religion) and ridiculous (ridiculous), which is an assonance Italian lost in the adaptation, without any meaning.

It was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival September 6, 2008 and later in several film festivals international, including the Torino Film Festival.

Bill Maher travels around the world, visiting places of religious significance, meeting and interviewing representatives of different religious faiths, scientists, public figures and ordinary people.

The view now held is that of an atheist, convinced that "religion is an obstacle to human progress."
