What To Write Friend's Wedding

Capitolo Sei: Frutti per Kagua (1972)

capitolo sei frutti per kagua 01 IN COMMENTS: INTERVENTION MAURO ROMANS, CHAPTER 6
bassist AND MIRKO Tessandori

On the history of this group has been created over time a lot of confusion. The card that follows attempts to reconstruct the story nearest degree taking into account the latest evidence.

I Chapter Six was formed in 1969 by the merger of the Leghorn " Rangers " Viareggio and "The Hermit .
The original lineup consisted of two drummers Bartolotti Richard (vocals, guitar, flute), Jimmy Santerini (keyboards, vocals), Giovanni Galli (bass, drums) soon replaced by Mauro Romani (bass), Lorenzo Donati (drums, vocals) and Luciano House (guitar, drums).
E 'therefore cast doubt on the fact that the group was in Rome as is often reported.
Moreover, according to several authoritative voices including that of Paul Barotto , the band released a single for almost the newborn Atco ( Cool Jerk "," Please, Please, Please "covers both the Capitols ) but this news is questionable to the point that will flatly contradicted by one of the group (source www.italianprog.it) .

In Rome, the band was signed to the label IT (a subsidiary of RCA, directed by Vincenzo Micocci) thanks to the intercession of his friend and producer Franco Tessandori Viareggio and in 1971 its first public true single "I Love You .
same time, it is noted both Viareggio Pop Festival of 1971, and as opening act Roman concert of Led Zeppelin . In the same period also indicates an appearance on Tele Koper but where lack Romans and House , quest'ultimo sostutuito da un non meglio identificato chitarrista di nome Roberto .
Il lato A is entirely occupied by long symphony " Fruits for Kagu " whose 18 minutes are ideally divisible by three movements.

capitolo sei frutti per kagua 02 The first is essentially hard rock with many concessions to Prog especially in breaks between verse and the other, distinguished by the aggressive voice of the singer and rhythm of laudable steps Donati and Romans, well counterpointed by flute and sax. The next 9 minutes
offer more relaxed atmosphere along the lines of King Crimson , but with a touch of Mediterranean in the most pleasant rhythmic crescendo leading to the final section.

Nobilitati dagli splendidi testi del giovane Francesco De Gregori e di Edoardo de Angelis ( quindi non Guido e non Maurizio De Angelis, which have nothing to do ), all the pieces of the second side consists of continuous overlapping polyrhythms, breaks, counterpoint and vocal interventions that drive and surprisingly modern.

capitolo sei frutti per kagua 03 Unfortunately, being so forward with the times not helped Chapter Six whose products 33 and 45, yielded no response or loss.
After a final appearance on the compilation " Sanremo 1972" with a cover of " Jesahel " Delirium of and the pop song "I Love "
(always with arrangements by Frank "Terry" Tessandori) , the four split and the only Favilla will for some time to flesh out the ranks of the Champ de Mars .

With a beautiful graphics (complete with gatefold flaps to be hung on the wall), this can only be attributed ELLEPI some redundancy in the rhythm and harmonics coming off one hand, proves the advantage of actually 'album, but on the other, are slightly excessive and forced.
However, beyond these critical minutiae and his undeserved oblivion, " Fruits for Kagu " is an album that should definitely appear in any self-respecting disco Prog.
